Product Description

Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

Unlike other e-book editions which are merely copies of existing print editions, this edition has been completely reworked for e-readers.

Blake’s songs are given in their entirety. We also include relevant songs published in the Rossetti manuscript.

Where we have supplied notes to a song we have attempted to limit each page to ten lines (however this is dictated by the length of the notes) for ease of reading. Where possible, notes are provided on the same page as the song they refer to.

For the most part the notes provide details of Blake’s amendments and deletions. Notes are indicated by a bracketed letter: eg [a].

Links to Blake’s original engraving for each song are included. The images are from the 1826 edition of the Songs lodged at The Fitzwilliam Museum, and they are served by blakearchive.org.

References to other songs in this book are hyperlinked.
